Frescomar, phase 1

Two years of successful solar energy production avoid 200 t of CO2 so far with a production of over 300 MWh.

The operators of the fish factory on the island of Sao Vicente, Frescomar[1], have signed another long-term PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) with Ecoproject Cabo Verde S.A., a Projekt group company established for Cape Verde. Delivering more than 800 kWpeak, the new plant has now started production after over 2,300 modules from Q.Cells had been installed in collaboration with GTEK Lda[2].

"We are very happy that this project could also be successfully completed despite the challenging circumstances," says José Britto, managing partner of Ecoproject Cabo Verde.
