In April, one Vestas V112-3.45 MW turbine owned by the Group itself was commissioned in the district of Stade. Shortly afterwards, two Vestas V112-3.3 MW with a hub height of 140 m went on stream in the municipality of Ovelgönne, district of Wesermarsch. This was in good time before the end of the transition phase for the change in the medium voltage technical connection regulation (VDE 4110) on 30 June.
"The time schedule was contractually agreed between Vestas and Projekt GmbH as the general contractor. In the end, the turbine was erected and commissioned ahead of time," say the Managing Directors Heike Kröger and Ubbo de Witt.
Now the team can focus on the erection of another VESTAS turbine in the town of Werther, district of Gütersloh. To be able to meet the town's climate protection targets¹, a Vestas V126-3.6 MW with a hub height of 137 m will be installed at the Häger location after approval by the Federal Network Agency in May 2019. "The preparatory work is almost complete and erection will start in August this year," says Martin Jongebloed, the project engineer.
As far as coronavirus restrictions allow, a joint celebration with the neighbouring sports club SV Häger will take place.
